An IT Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of an organization’s IT infrastructure. This includes hardware, software, networks, and systems to ensure smooth and secure business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Monitor and troubleshoot networks (LAN/WAN), servers, and security systems.
- Provide technical support to users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Perform system backups, recovery, and regular updates.
- Manage and maintain firewalls, antivirus, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Ensure data security, compliance, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers for IT-related procurement and services.
- Document IT procedures, assets, and problem resolutions.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

- Cybersecurity awareness and tools handling.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools and ticketing systems.
